5 On It were honoured and thrilled that the Milton Keynes Food and Leisure Awards (https://www.mkfla.com/), which took place earlier this month, selected us as their Official 2023 Charity to support on the night of the Awards! A huge number of local organisations (listed below) donated prizes to the raffle and auction and we thank them all so much – an amazing total of £2500 was raised! This wonderful opportunity not only helped raise awareness of our work with children who live in poverty but more crucially helped us raise funds to provide more free Nutri Troops holiday camps!
Peter Bakare, GB Olympian and founder of Nutri Troops, said “We are incredibly grateful to Steven and the team at the Milton Keynes Food and Leisure Awards and all the fantastic companies who donated prizes, bought raffle tickets and bid on the auction. We are blown away by the amount raised. It will allow us to run so many free camps for children alongside providing hot meals”.
