We have had a great week of basketball and we thank you for supporting our half term programme run in partnership with MK Basketball! Unfortunately we have had to postpone tomorrow's 3x3 tournament at Sports Central, it will now take place at an indoor venue on Monday 20th December - more details to be announced soon! We have a big finish today with Nigel Lloyd at the Lakes Estate Outdoor court, MK2 3QF 4 - 6pm where there will be energising basketball drills and prizes to be won - we are now fully booked but look forward to seeing all those who have reserved a space! 5 ON IT AND MK BASKETBALL CLUB PROVIDE FREE BASKETBALL DURING OCTOBER HALF TERM! 5 On It Foundation have teamed up with MK Basketball Club to deliver a FREE week of basketball coaching across Milton Keynes over the October half term break ending with an exciting 3 x 3 Tournament and Fun Day at Sports Central! 5 On It are delighted to announce they have been awarded funding from the East London Community Foundation (using its Made by Sport funding pot) to support our Gang Today Gone Tomorrow anti-gang project. Following a rise in gang life in key towns and cities across the UK, 5 On It have created a unique programme which uses mentoring and basketball coaching to inspire, educate and push young people away from gangs.  Girls as well as boys can be exposed to violence and coercion due to gang association. The 5 On It Foundation are proud to support the amazing charity Children Heard and Seen yesterday by funding a sports day with our friends at Premier Education - Milton Keynes. Using a variety of equipment Premier Education ran a fantastic mini sports day for all those who attended. The weather stayed dry too, just! A big thank you to all our Localgiving donors for helping us to make this happen. Children Heard and Seen supports children and young people and their families who are supported by parental imprisonment. It is estimated that 312,000 children each year have a parent in prison, and these children need help and support from their communities.

5 On It Foundation are delighted to announce a new partnership with Milton Keynes Basketball Club, who coach over 500 boys and girls from 4-18 years old. This new collaboration will give young people across the region, increased access to basketball and provide pathways to those who show talent and drive, regardless of their background. Both organisations will work together to build bursaries and scholarship opportunities for individuals using fund raising techniques and inviting sponsorship from local businesses. This summer, 5 On It Foundation, are delivering free coaching in Heelands, for children with London Lions Legend, Nigel Lloyd, as well as a Basketball 3 On 3 coaching programme in Eaglestone with a positive anti-gang message for teenagers in the City. 11,000 children in Milton Keynes are living in poverty and…

5 On It Foundation, with the help of funding from the National Lottery and Turners Court, are excited to be running a FREE basketball coaching programme at the Eaglestone outdoor basketball court starting next Thursday 5th August that’s specifically aimed at encouraging young people to stay away from gangs. Headed up by London Lions Legends Nigel Lloyd and Jordan Spencer, this positive anti-gang basketball initiative will help 5 On It Foundation spread the programme of ‘Gang Today, Gone Tomorrow’ and ‘Lives, Not Knives’ which uses basketball to create opportunities for young people. From beginners to experienced ballers, all levels are welcome. At least 10 'postcode' gangs - made up of members from the same postcode area, or 'territory' - operate in Milton Keynes, with children as young as 13 groomed…

5 On It Foundation, with the help of funding from Bradwell Parish Council, are excited to be running a FREE basketball coaching programme at Heelands Sports Field during the school summer holidays headed up by London Lions Legend player and coach Nigel Lloyd! Starting on Monday 26th July, budding Michael Jordan’s aged 7 – 18 years are invited to join Nigel for 6 weeks of basketball coaching, prizes, 3 on 3 and lots of fun! The sessions run every Monday 10 - 12 noon until 30th August, ages 7-12rs, boys and girls: 10am-11am and ages 13-18yrs, boys and girls: 11am-12noon. All standards of play are welcome. 5 On It Foundation ran their final Smash It tennis coaching session yesterday having seen over 80 budding tennis stars come through the programme. We succeeded in giving young people a chance to pick up a racket and have a go at playing tennis which resulted in participants wanting to continue their new found love for such a fantastic sport. We are extremely grateful to John Baldwin, our patron, for making a generous donation that made our Smash It dream come true which gave children and teenagers an opportunity to get on court. Unfortunately owing to the bad weather expected at the weekend we have had to postpone Saturday's Smash It tennis coaching session. We are back on Saturday 15th 10 - 12 noon, our last one so there will be certificates and prizes to be one! Supported by the Milton Keynes Community Foundation, this exciting initiative will give participants an opportunity to develop key skills including how to rally, serve and smash in a low-stress, high fun environment.
