Nutri Hoops and Nutri Netters are Back This Autumn

5 On It Foundation in partnership with Nutri Troops are bringing Nutri Hoops & Nutri Netters to Oakgrove School Community Hall this autumn, giving children aged one to six years a fun and accessible introduction to sport and physical activity.

Taking place on Saturdays from 3 October, the programme uses music, bubbles, games, imaginative adventures and the colourful Nutri Troops characters to help children develop confidence, coordination and fundamental movement skills through play.

Unlike traditional sports coaching, parents and carers are encouraged to get involved too, creating an opportunity for families to be active and have fun together.

Peter Bakare, creator of Nutri Troops and London 2012 Team GB Olympian, said:

โ€œWe want children to have positive experiences of being active from the earliest possible age. At this age, it isn’t about being good at basketball or netball โ€“ itโ€™s about moving, playing, laughing and building confidence.

โ€œHaving parents and carers involved makes it even more special. We want children to associate physical activity with having fun together.โ€

The programme follows strong interest in previous Nutri Troops sessions in Milton Keynes and forms part of the organisationsโ€™ wider commitment to making sport and physical activity engaging and accessible for children and families.

Sessions will take place at Oakgrove School Community Hall, MK10 9JQ, on 3 October, 10 October, 17 October, 31 October and 7 November 2026.

Three sessions will run each Saturday:

9:35amโ€“10:10am: 18 monthsโ€“2 years 5 months
10:15amโ€“10:50am: 2ยฝโ€“3 years 11 months
10:55amโ€“11:30am: 4โ€“6 years

The complete five-week programme costs ยฃ34.99 per child, with no previous basketball or netball experience required. For more information and to book click here.
