Milton Keynes Olympian Peter Bakare & Nutri Troops Win International CoCreate Pitch Final in London

Local health brand triumphs in global athlete-led competition judged by UK sporting and business icons.
Milton Keynes, Peter Bakare, local Olympian and founder of childrenโs health brand Nutri Troops, has won the prestigious Alibaba.com CoCreate Pitch Final in London. The competition, held at the InterContinental O2, showcased some of Europeโs most innovative athlete-founded ventures as part of the Athlete365 Business Accelerator, an International Olympic Committee programme supporting athletes in developing purpose-driven businesses.

Judges for the final included:
- Rio Ferdinand, England football legend
- Sara Davies MBE, Dragonsโ Den entrepreneur
- Alistair Brownlee MBE, double Olympic Triathlon Champion
Impressed by its creativity, impact on childrenโs health, and scalable vision, the judges selected Nutri Troops as one of the winners.

Why Nutri Troops Matters for Schools Now More Than Ever
One in three children in the UK are living with obesity, and fewer than half are active for the recommended 60 minutes per day. Many children regularly consume high levels of sugar, salt and unhealthy fats, and much of their daily environment reinforces habits that work against their long-term wellbeing.
Nutri Troops was created by Peter to tackle this crisis in a way children genuinely respond to: through story, adventure and play. Instead of telling children what โnotโ to do, Nutri Troops empowers them to become Healthy Heroes, making positive choices because they feel part of an exciting mission.
More than 17,000 children across 200 schools and clubs in Milton Keynes and the North East have already taken part in Nutri Troops programmes, with teachers reporting improved engagement, teamwork, confidence and understanding of nutrition and health topics.
Peter Bakare, Olympian & Founder of Nutri Troops
โWinning the CoCreate Pitch Final truly means a lot to me. Iโm incredibly grateful to the judges, the Athlete365 team, and everyone who believes in what weโre building with Nutri Troops. This isnโt just a business – itโs a mission to inspire the next generation to live healthy, active and imaginative lives.
I canโt wait to visit even more primary schools across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas with the Nutri Troops Academy. Every time I step into a school hall and see children light up as they enter the world of Nutria, it reminds me why we do this. Teaching children through the magic of adventure – through stories, play and teamwork – is where the real impact happens. Iโm excited to bring even more young heroes into the Nutri Troops journey.โ
