5 ON IT Foundation has been awarded grant funding from Milton Keynes City Council to deliver a SEN Animation Workshop as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme, for children in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals (FSM).

Weโ€™re excited to welcome back Peter Bakare with another Nutri Troops Animation Workshop, specially tailored for SEN students aged 12 to 16.

The session will take place at Willows School in Fishermead, Milton Keynes (MK6 2LP) on Friday 2nd January 2026 9am – 1pm and has been carefully designed to engage and support young people with special educational needs.

  • Led by a specialist SEN teacher, the workshop will guide students through the creative process of developing their own animations and comic books, drawing inspiration from the colourful and imaginative world of Nutri Troops. The session is thoughtfully structured to suit a variety of learning styles, with particular emphasis on visual learners who thrive through creative, hands-on activities like drawing and storytelling.
  • Adding an extra layer of inspiration, participants will have the chance to work directly with Peter Bakare, a 2012 GB Olympian and the creator of Nutri Troops. His presence brings energy, encouragement, and real-life experience, helping students build confidence, express themselves creatively, and enjoy the power of teamwork.

There is a trip being organised too, details to be announced shortly!
