Funded by the government’s HAF scheme, we’re offering two incredible workshops for SEN students aged 12–16 who receive free school meals. Whether you love getting creative or want to sharpen your cooking skills, these fun and engaging sessions are designed just for you!
🎨 NUTRI TROOPS ANIMATION WORKSHOP
Mon 7th and Wed 9th April | 9 AM – 1 PM
📍 Willow’s School, Fishermead, MK6 2LP
Join Peter Bakare, GB 2012 Olympian and creator of Nutri Troops, for an exciting animation and comic book design camp! This hands-on workshop is specially designed for SEN students who love drawing, storytelling, and animation. Come for the full camp or book individual days—it’s up to you!
With the support of an SEN specialist teacher, students will explore art, design, and storytelling in a fun and motivating way. Visual learners will thrive in this creative space, discovering how animation and art can be a powerful tool for self-expression, teamwork, and confidence-building.

🍽 NUTRI TROOPS COOKERY WORKSHOP
Tuesday 8th April | 11 AM – 3 PM
📍 The Old Granary, Brooklands Farm, MK16 0HU
This one-day cookery workshop, in partnership with MK Cookery School, is perfect for SEN students who want to gain confidence in the kitchen while having fun. This interactive, hands-on experience will teach essential life skills, helping young people develop independence, social skills, and practical cooking abilities.
Participants will learn basic culinary techniques, how to follow recipes safely, and the importance of healthy eating, all while working together in a supportive environment. The session also helps students strengthen math, sequencing, and comprehension skills through fun, practical tasks.
