Over 200 teenagers from all corners of Milton Keynes aged 12 - 16yrs attended 5 On It Foundation’s free ‘Hang Out Games’ Camps this summer at St Paul’s Catholic School run by the charity. The programme has been supported by Milton Keynes Council, Sport England, Postcode Trust and Milton Keynes Christian Centre. Participants played in exhilarating finals events across three key sports - basketball, football and netball - it was tense and exciting to the end! Deputy Mayor Councilor John Lancaster attended the Games and enjoyed a delicious lunch of curry and jollof rice with the 5 On It team and gave some words of motivation to the young athletes before their finals! 5 On It are thrilled to have been awarded funding by Milton Keynes Council to run a range of Holiday Activities and Food Programmes (Government HAF) during the summer holidays. These programmes are for school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals. Click on the links below to find out more about each one! The Paris Olympics 2024 are just around the corner and Peter Bakare, local 2012 Volleyball Olympian as well as Nutri Troops creator and 5 On It Foundation have partnered together to bring a Mini Golden Olympics Games to Milton Keynes for children aged 5 – 11 years – it’s a chance to feel like an Olympian and go for gold and you can sign your children up for it now! We are delighted to be running a free football camp at Leon Leisure this summer in partnership with and funded by Bletchley Fenny Stratford TC Located at Leon Leisure Centre Astro, Fern Grove, Bletchley, MK2 3HQ⁣⁣ the football camp is open to all children aged 8 - 16 yrs who live within the parish district. 5 On It Foundation are over the moon to have been recognized by the Milton Keynes Black Excellent Awards 2024, which took place at Delta Marriot Hotel on Saturday 13th January, as the ‘Organisation which seeks to engage The Black Community the Most’.  The award was presented by actor and presenter Richard Blackwood to local Team GB Olympian Peter Bakare and International basketball player Jordan Spencer, who are     ambassadors for the local MK charity.  Known for delivering a range of sports and creative arts programmes, 5 On It tailor their activities to encourage and value cultural diversity amongst young people and allow them to step out of their comfort zones, learning long lasting life skills. We are over the moon to have been awarded another £1500 by Turners Court Youth Trust which gives grants to charities which aim to help young people fulfil their full potential by providing high quality early intervention programmes. This funding will help us provide more mentoring to those at risk of being attracted to gangs.

If you’re aged between 12 and 16 years and receive free school meals why not hang out with 5 On It this winter and try a range of activities for free! This programme is funded by the Government’s HAF scheme which provides free activities to children and teenagers who are in receipt of free school meals, we also have secured additional funding to provide another 20 free places to all 12-16 year olds – see booking link below. 5 On It were honoured and thrilled that the Milton Keynes Food and Leisure Awards (https://www.mkfla.com/), which took place earlier this month, selected us as their Official 2023 Charity to support on the night of the Awards! A huge number of local organisations (listed below) donated prizes to the raffle and auction and we thank them all so much - an amazing total of £2500 was raised! This wonderful opportunity not only helped raise awareness of our work with children who live in poverty but more crucially helped us raise funds to provide more free Nutri Troops holiday camps!
